A Nigerian woman has been arrested after her neighbours alerted the police about the constant maltreatment of her underaged house help.
The child was seen with several cane marks on her back. The police interrogated the woman and asked why she locked the child in the house for three days without food.
She stated that it wasn’t the first time she had done it and although she was alone in the house she left food for the child before she left.
According to her, she left the house on Wednesday and was supposed to be back home on Thursday but couldn’t make it home, which was why she arrived home on the third day.
They asked her why the child looked malnourished and had so many marks on her body, but she was unable to give any reason and kept mute.
Reacting to the video, toiyoabasi1 wrote: “I’m still looking for the maid because it cannot be that baby I’m seeing there!!”
Thevillagechef said: “ Lock her first before we continue the conversation. She should be talking through the bars first.”
barbie_tammie added: “How do people confidently have a MINOR as a house help. It is inhumane to let a child take care of child, letting a child do the work your child can’t do. Make una dey fear God.”
